Catholic Care Foundation is a special organisation inside the Catholic Church.
Our mission is to support individuals and groups undertaking caring works within our Diocesan Geographical area.
We support the Caring Mission by making grants to groups providing essential services such as food, clothing a place to sleep as well as comfort for anyone who needs it. We care for the poor, the homeless the hungry, for refugees, and for children and families in the area who need special love and care.
Catholic Care Foundation was established in 1982 by the first Bishop of Hamilton, Bishop Edward Gaines, to do what the Bible tells us to do- to love God and to love our neighbour. We do this by raising funds to distribute to organisations that care for people who cannot care for themselves. Catholic Care Foundation is a registered charity. Our Registration number CC 21817, and is fully supported by our Patron Bishop Denis Browne, DD Catholic Bishop of Hamilton.
